BDA / ERCES Installation

UL 2524 listed equipment, fire-rated pathway, NEMA enclosures, and full grounding. Installed by a Texas-licensed fire protection contractor with NICET III field leadership.

What we install

BDA / signal booster (UL 2524 listed — RSI M5 series, Honeywell CNX, Fiplex DH-500)
Donor antenna (Yagi or panel) with surge protection
Distributed antenna system — omni / panel as designed
Coax: ½" / ⅞" heliax for trunk runs, LMR-400 / RG-8X for branches (UL listed plenum/riser)
NEMA 4 / 4X enclosures where exposed; NEMA 1 in fire-control rooms (per AHJ)
Battery backup — 12 hr or 24 hr per AHJ (most DFW: 12 hr)
Fire alarm interface — supervisory signals per NFPA 72 §24.5
Grounding to building ground per NEC Article 250 + NFPA 1225 §18.7
Permanent labeling per IFC §510.5.6 (frequencies, gain, technician, date)

Field discipline

Field installation is where most ERCES systems fail — wrong frequencies programmed, donor antenna pointed wrong direction, isolation insufficient, fire-rated pathway missed. Our field standard is documented and audited: every installation passes a 25-point checklist before we mobilize the acceptance test crew.

We don't subcontract field labor. Our installers are W-2 Zion technicians with FCC GROL and NICET-track certifications.
